Frigidaire's Professional grade microwave/convection appliance purchased as a replacement for their previous 2015 vintage model which developed broken wires in the door - not economical to repair.The unit fit directly where the replaced unit was mounted and seems to work. Knowing that some units fail, we purchased the 5 yr extended warranty, which was quite inexpensive. We have concerns that this unit may not vent properly, as it fills with a team cloud and obscures the view through the door on the shortest cycle (~1 minute). In 45 yr of marriage, we've never seen this from a microwave. I have filled the compartment with large drops of condensate when boiling water for a long time, but I've never seen a steam cloud accumulate before. I don't think this unit vents adequately as it runs.

If you are looking to upgrade your over the range microwave. You can not opt this product, you will thank me, Life will be much easier, will conventional heat oven, and air fry. LAST NOTE: if you are not a professional installer, please do get professionally installed, cost you like $100, but it is worth it. However, if you are planning to install it yourself, i warn you, this product is HEAVY. And you specifically need tool to lift and hang it on the air to center and mount it on the wall.

Microwave is great, air fryer not so much

We purchased this version, as the non-professional version was our original microwave and broke down after 6 years. This professional one was an upgrade and would fir the dimensions of the old one in our cabinet space. The microwave feature works great, and even adjusts the time as it senses when the food is done so it will add time of we didn't put it in long enough which is handy. However, so far (we have had this new one for a little over a week), the air fryer option does not work as well as our Ninja air fryer does. We will keep trying though. Overall we love our new microwave.

Had another Frigidaire Professional Microwave that failed after 15 years. Repair cost was almost as much as a new one. Got this as drop in replacement, and installed it on my own. Installation was not too difficult, it helps to have a second person lift it in place.

After install it was found the when closing the door the light would stay on in the microwave actually the microwave would not even function. One of the senors on the door was bent and door needs to be replaced. The technician who came out advised the part is on back order since the model of the microwave is brand new and could give no time table when it would arrive.

Convenience, Functionality, and Good Looks

This thing is slick. The stainless steel exterior looks very modern and the interior is very premium feeling. The convenience of having air frying and convection baking built into one device has made my standalone air fryer obsolete and I barely use my regular oven anymore. Not to mention I am saving on energy by only heating a small space (1.9 cu. ft) vs the entire oven. Combine this with the microwave capabilities and you have a one stop shop for cooking. I've been really impressed with the provided non-stick air fry tray and how well the filter takes care of odors during air frying or convection cooking. The only thing to keep in mind is don't accidentally microwave with the air fry tray (sparks!).

Owned the original version of this microwave (Professional series) and after 4 years it died beyond the cost of repair. Bought this new one (to match full set of Professional appliances) and it is very similar but no handle. Best part is the addition of air fryer feature and WHITE LED CLOCK (the old blue led was awful). So far so good.

Great Technology and Innovation!

We purchased this microwave with expectations of it replacing several different appliances we currently have. This product came through and some! The microwave has a very sleek, modern, and professional look. The inside is bright and clean metal giving it the high end appearance lacked by some cheaper brands. The control panel is located horizontally at the bottom of the microwave and is easy to use and understand.Now for the operation™€¦™€¦We are super impressed! This appliance has taken the place of our stand alone toaster oven, our stand alone air fryer, and our regular builder grade microwave. The microwave performs as expected within standard use of all others™€¦..with one exception. This is the absolute quickest microwave I have ever owned. The toaster / oven function is new to us for a microwave but functions just as good, if not better than our $200 Cuisinart oven. There is a heating element inside the microwave which brings it up to temperature fast. Now my favorite: The air fryer. We had low expectations of this function but we were very wrong. This option functions and cooks the very same was our $300 air fryer operates. The absolute only shortfall is the amount of food you can place into the air fry pan, but since we are a family of 3, it has not been an issue yet.All in all we were hesitant to purchase this item due to the cost being a bit more then a standard microwave but after using it, seeing the functionality, and factoring in the replacement costs of other appliances, as well as space savings. This is a clear choice and winner! We will soon be transitioning the rest of our builder grade Whirlpool appliances to the Frigidaire brand.

Almost perfect!

I was excited to finally receive the shipment of our new Frigidaire microwave and start using it. It is almost perfect. What I'm missing is a backlight feature on all the control buttons. On dark days and at nighttime, I'd rather not have to turn the kitchen lights on to see them clearly. Also, I don't understand why the fan speed is reduced to LOW when using the convention oven setting.

Installation and setting up the microwave was simple! The look is modern and sleek. This one appliance has elevated my kitchen aesthetic. This microwave is slightly bigger than my old one and extends out a little further but I like it. Setting the clock was very easy, numbers illuminate bright and the lighting is nice but not too bright. When warming up my food, it didn™€™t appear to be ™€œover cooked™€ it was warm throughout! This multi-functional appliance has replaced my other small countertop kitchen gadgets, including my toaster oven and air fryer.The microwave's air frying function is especially impressive. It cooks food quickly and evenly, and my salmon came out perfect. The baking function is also a game-changer. My muffin log came out moist and fluffy with the convection oven feature. I love not having to heat up the entire oven. Get this now! Not only did it fit and looks so good in my space, it works VERY WELL. Yes its a microwave but i have used the air fryer feature to make salmon & bacon ehich i love. As a senior citizen I found the ease of learning how to operate the microwave was very helpful. I really like the lighting and the ability to see the the food to check on it's progress.
